Financial planning platform Lyfeguard launches in the UK
Lyfeguard, a life planning assistant and document management platform, has launched in the UK with the goal to help streamline financial management and planning.
The start-up aims to tackle the problem of poor personal information storage and management. Lyfeguard’s platform allows users to store, share and organise important financial information and legal documents, including birth certificates and wills.
It also enables this information to be passed on to friends, family members and trusted advisors “securely” – with two-factor authentication for sign-in, encryption and 14 other security features.
The app also includes reminders, reports and insights into key metrics such as financial health, and displays bank and credit card balance totals through Tink’s open banking tech.
Fraser Stewart, co-founder and COO of Lyfeguard, says: “We set out to create a solution that resolved the two key problems of poor personal document management and simple end-of-life and legacy planning.
“Current competitors typically focus solely on the latter, but Lyfeguard strives to make personal and information accessible and useful in life too, for a holistic life planning experience which isn’t just centred around death.”
