New savings app for homeowners in the UK: Sprive
Sprive, a new savings app built for homeowners to help them pay off their mortgage, has gone live in the UK.
The start-up has built an AI mortgage assistant available through a mobile app to help customers pay off their mortgage faster, as well as help them find the right deals when they are due to switch through showing customised mortgage deals. Customers can then switch with the help of expert advisors.
Users link their bank account to the app, setting a monthly limit with a “mortgage freedom” goal, after which the app automatically sets aside money based off an individual’s spending. It claims to be free of cost, with no fees.
The app is currently available only in the UK, and supports accounts from Nationwide, First Direct, HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays, Santander, RBS, Virgin Money, Halifax, NatWest, Yorkshire Building Society and TSB Bank.
Sprive was founded in 2019 by Jinesh Vohra, who is also Sprive’s CEO, a former director at Goldman Sachs for 14 years.
