Coremont names Balaji Krishnamurthy as new CTO
Financial services firm Coremont has appointed Balaji Krishnamurthy as its new chief technology officer (CTO), based in the US.
Krishnamurthy brings with him over 25 years of experience. Most recently, he served as managing director of middle office and post trade technology at JP Morgan Chase in New York. Before that, he was director of post trade technology at Barclays, and has also worked for Nomura, Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs.
Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Coremont provides portfolio management technology and data for hedge funds and asset managers. Its flagship solution, Clarion, offers coverage across all asset classes, including rates, fixed income, credit, FX, equities, commodities and cryptocurrencies.
In July, the firm appointed Akbar Sheriff as its global chief operating officer (COO). Sheriff joined Coremont from State Street, where he held multiple global and regional leadership roles.
Coremont was spun out from Brevan Howard in 2018 and has offices in New York, Connecticut, London and Hong Kong.
