Tandem CEO Susie Aliker to step down, Alex Mollart to take over
Susie Aliker will step down as CEO of UK challenger bank Tandem in the coming months, with Alex Mollart set to take over the top job.
Tandem’s board has appointed Mollart as chief executive designate as part of the bank’s succession plans, with Aliker set to work closely with him over the next few months as he prepares for his new role.
Mollart is currently deputy CEO at the bank, having joined the firm through the acquisition of consumer lending firm Oplo, which he founded and ran as CEO.
Aliker joined Tandem as CEO in May 2021 following the bank’s acquisition of green consumer lender Allium Money. She led the bank’s subsequent acquisition of Mollart’s Oplo, which completed in early 2022, cementing Tandem’s position as a green, net zero-focused digital bank.
As CEO, Aliker has helped the bank achieve profitability and overseen the growth of its lending and deposit balances.
Aliker says: “I leave the bank with a strong leadership team, a profitable and growing business, and a clear and differentiated strategy which will continue to benefit our customers and the planet.”
