At Freetrade, they believe investing should be open to everyone. For a lot of people, investing seems complicated, expensive and remote. Freetrade wants to change all that. They are a technology company offering simple stock investing through their app, which allows users to trade in real shares.
As the first challenger stockbroker to disrupt the £1.2 trillion UK retail investment market, Freetrade is poised to expand into Europe in 2021. They’ve just closed a Series B funding round led by New York-based growth fund Left Lane Capital alongside L Catterton and Draper Esprit, bringing their total raised to over £65 million. They are on track to double in size from 120 people to 200+ by the end of the year.
Freetrade is looking for a talented candidate to join as their head of compliance. This role will build on an existing compliance framework and arrangements. You’ll be tasked with taking them to the next level of growth, building a strong and versatile team. The role will report directly to the VP of risk and compliance and will offer huge scope for professional growth as the company continues to scale.
Senior Product Marketing Manager, Shopify
Shopify’s mission is to make commerce, not e-commerce, better for everyone because they know that more than 80% of commerce still happens in-person.
The Shopify retail team is building software and hardware that equips merchants to sell in-person. Sellers trust and depend on Shopify POS and custom-built hardware to handle millions of transactions weekly. The firm believes every business selling in-person, whether it’s at a pop-up, market, event or bricks and mortar store, should benefit from selling both in-person and online.
Shopify is committed to bridging the in-person and online divide for both sellers and shoppers. They’re looking for an individual who is excited to contribute to launching and growing Shopify’s next generation of retail solutions and products that will bring to life a vision of the future of retail.
As the senior product marketing manager, you’ll develop powerful narratives that bring the next generation of in-person payment products to life and own their marketing and growth. Your focus will span the entire customer funnel, relentlessly driving reach and positive sentiment within your audience segments, product engagement, growth and optimisation. You’ll work closely with the product line owner, the commercial teams, product managers, designers and other marketers to develop strategies, plans and programmes to meet your objectives.
At Shopify, they are committed to building and fostering an environment where employees feel included, valued and heard. Their belief is that a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion enables us to truly make commerce better for everyone.
IT Support Engineer, Railsbank
Railsbank is a global embedded finance experience platform that gives customers the ability to prototype, build and scale financial products globally with one contract and one set of APIs. Railsbank is in growth mode with hundreds of clients globally, end-users in the multi-millions and venture capital funding from top firms like Clocktower Ventures and Visa.
The company is continuing to grow its product capabilities and further its international expansion, and they are also looking to expand their sales footprint into wider economies. They have identified a number of sectors where they have already started to gain traction and are therefore looking to grow the core infrastructure IT service desk team.
Railsbank is looking for a new team member to join them in the workplace technology support team; this is the department that looks after employees, IT hardware and the systems used internally. You will be reporting to the head of workplace tech support.
The firm has little-to-no on-site infrastructure and relies heavily on a collection of SaaS products. The majority of the endpoints are macOS, although they also use Windows and iOS devices. The successful candidate will be the second line of support in the workplace technology support team, taking ownership of more complex tickets that have been escalated from the first line. You will support IT services in the London office, including meeting room audio-visual equipment, printers and desktop equipment.
It’s an extremely exciting time to join Railsbank as they continue to develop and grow.
