UK checkout fintech Volume aims to simplify online payments
A new payments firm has emerged in the UK, led by former WorldRemit and Mastercard employees.
Volume says that its mission is to simplify and improve the checkout experience for commercial apps, and build “an economic infrastructure for the internet”.
It promises to provide a checkout experience where customers do not need to type in bank details, the data retrieved from their bank through an API connection.
Volume is also developing a system for neobanks to help them connect to businesses, e-stores, and other financial apps.
Volume says users can activate a simplified, fast, and secure checkout experience, and the neobank client can generate additional revenue.
Founded in April, Volume is still in the early stage of development. The firm is led by Simone Martinelli, a former WorldRemit and Mastercard senior product manager.
He is joined by Mario Berni as head of commercial. Berni, who is also CEO at consultancy firm Global SmartPay, is a former Mastercard relationship manager.
