HSBC taps CloudBees to streamline software delivery
HSBC has selected California-based CloudBees as its software delivery platform provider, signing a multi-year deal with the firm.
The bank hopes the deal will help address the challenges associated with software delivery at enterprise scale.
CloudBees says it will provide HSBC with a “unified end-to-end system of record for deploying software into production” that will “improve the productivity of over 23,000 developers”.
The agreement covers all components of the CloudBees platform including continuous integration, continuous delivery, release orchestration, and feature management capabilities.
HSBC will look to integrate continuous compliance into its software delivery process, including automation of audit reporting, real-time tracking, tracing, and approval of software through to production.
The deal expands HSBC’s relationship with CloudBees, which began in 2015 and saw a $10 million strategic investment in the DevOps firm in 2019.
“Standardisation and automation across our entire software delivery system will enable our developers to get new digital products and services into our customers’ hands quickly and securely,” says HSBC CTO of shared services and cloud Ian Haynes.
