Santander International to deploy cloud-based Temenos system
The Jersey and Isle of Man operations of Banco Santander, Santander International, has picked a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform from Temenos.
Temenos partner Syncordis is leading the implementation, which will revamp the banking and mortgage services offered by Santander International.
The software is hosted on Microsoft’s Azure platform. It will enable the bank to “build and launch products faster” and “deliver enhanced digital experiences”.
Santander International plans to extend its usage of the SaaS platform across “all business lines” in future.
“In challenging times such as these, it is more vital than ever to be able to adapt to changing business and customer requirements,” says James Poutney, CEO for the regional bank.
“By working with Temenos and Syncordis we will be able to future-proof our digital banking platform.”
Poutney adds this will enable the bank to “provide our valued customers with outstanding service and a seamless customer experience.”
Santander International is the trading name of the Jersey and Isle of Man branches of Santander UK, itself part of Banco Santander.
It offers banking, mortgages, and savings accounts to Channel Island and Isle of Man residents. Locally-domiciled companies in those locations can also use the bank’s corporate services.
“We’re excited to be working with Santander International to help redefine their customer experience,” says David Macdonald, Temenos president for Europe.
“Temenos SaaS delivers speed and agility while providing the security and resilience that a modern digital bank needs.”
Syncordis has worked with Temenos on projects included Husbanken and Fortuna Banque.
