Innovate Finance CEO Crosswell steps down
Innovate Finance CEO, Charlotte Crosswell, is stepping down from her position from next month.
Crosswell joined the industry body in 2017, and the group says she has played a “pivotal role” in its efforts to “accelerate the UK’s leading role in financial services.”
“After nearly four years as CEO of Innovate Finance, the time has come for me to step aside,” says Crosswell.
“It has been a privilege to lead the UK’s FinTech industry body through a period of tremendous growth.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with all our members, the government, regulators and the wider global ecosystem, to champion the innovation taking place in our financial services sector.”
Janine Hirt, Innovate Finance chief operating officer, is set to replace Crosswell, taking over from 1 May onwards.
Hirt has worked at the body for just under three years. Prior to that she held a role at Chatham House as acting head of corporate relations.
She also spent five years at the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, leaving as head of membership in 2012.
Hirt says that as fintech matures it is contributing towards a “fairer, more inclusive, and efficient” financial services sector.
She adds she will work closes with members, the government, regulators and “the entire ecosystem” to ensure a “world-leading position” in financial innovation.
