Dozens hires new CTO from energy firm Kingo
UK challenger bank Dozens has appointed a new chief technology officer in Peter Kasprowicz.
Kasprowicz joins from energy-as-a-service firm Kingo, where he spent two and a half years in a similar role.
Prior to this he traded structured fixed income derivative products in developed and emerging markets for Credit Suisse.
Arita Chakravarty, founder and CEO of Project Imagine, parent company of Dozens, says his firm “very rarely hire direct to senior roles”.
He adds: “But Peter’s profile, experience and – most importantly – his world views provided that great fit needed for a high conviction hire.”
Dozens aims to provide an all-in-one app for customers to see their spending, budgeting, saving and investing all a single place.
Prior to its app launch in January 2019, Dozens had already secured both a full e-money licence and a MiFID Investment license.
The challenger recently sighed a banking deal with ClearBank to underpin its customers’ current accounts.
Under the deal, ClearBank will provide new account numbers and sort codes for Dozens. The challenger also gains access to Faster Payments through “a single API”.
