The Cambridge Building Society migrates to Azure cloud with DPR
The Cambridge Building Society (CBS) has migrated to the cloud using a DPR mortgages and savings system hosted by Microsoft Azure.
According to the vendor, the scale of the migration required “a heavy emphasis on compliance”. DPR and CBS took four months to implement the new system.
DPR says its service has “strengthened the robustness” of CBS’s infrastructure. It adds that the building society has improved resilience, reduced downtime, and increased security.
DPR is an approved Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP).
“The plan was executed perfectly. All key milestones delivered on time,” says Trevor Tannenbaum, head of IT at CBS.
“Now we are live on Azure we are starting to see the benefits – the capabilities now available for operational resilience are key for the society.”
Neil Locke, head of cloud Implementations at DPR, calls the implementation “a major project”.
“Cloud hosting is completely revolutionising the way businesses operate and cloud platforms like Azure, should be the foundation of any successful IT infrastructure plan.”
