Bank of Cyprus goes live on HPS PowerCard system
Bank of Cyprus, the largest banking and financial services group in its home country, has completed a migration to HPS’s PowerCard solution.
The bank switched things up from ACI Worldwide’s Base24, and a card management system from Canadian vendor Bevertec.
Markos Shiarly, manager for cards and payments at Bank of Cyprus, says that the bank will be able to launch “new, innovative and disruptive card payment solutions in the spirit of continuous improvement and enhanced customer experience.”
He adds: “Despite all our legacy platform’s specificities, HPS has successfully migrated our switching and card management System activities to PowerCard.”
Sebastien Slim, regional director for Europe at HPS, says that his firm is a “trusted partner” and “veteran” in matters of change and modernisation.
Established in 1899, Bank of Cyprus currently operates through a total of 108 branches across the island. More than 83% of Cypriots have an account with the lender.
