Diebold Nixdorf to manage Belgian banks’ combined ATM network
A joint venture comprising Belgian banks Argenta, AXA Bank, Crelan, and vdk bank, has charged Diebold Nixdorf with the task of end-to-end management of its ATM network.
JoFiCo, an acronym for Joint Financial Company, was founded in November 2019 by the banks as a way to take a collaborative approach towards the management of ATMs.
It has signed an ATM-as-a-service agreement with Diebold Nixdorf which will see the latter deploy its AllConnect ServicesSM platform.
Diebold Nixdorf will take on the responsibility of operating the entire fleet for each participating bank, which includes an installed base of around 1,560 existing ATMs. All will run on a single software platform, DN VynamicTM.

Under the terms of the agreement Diebold Nixdorf will also undertake a gradual replacement programme, rolling out new DN Series ATMs that include a mix of cash out and cash recycling units, as well as upgrading the remaining machines to the Windows 10 operating system.
Each of the partners participating in the joint venture will retain its own commercial strategy and brand identity.
Xavier Bianne, vice president of banking for Eurasia West at Diebold Nixdorf, says that the deal will enable each of the banks to “optimise internal operations and minimise the total cost of ownership” while ensuring their consumers “remain delighted with their self-service experience”.
