First Direct founder leaves retirement to join mortgage platform Dashly
Mike Harris, the serial entrepreneur and founder of First Direct, has joined mortgage switching fintech company Dashly as chairman.
Harris has emerged from retirement to support Dashly’s mortgage market comparison service, which uses a combination of credit, current account, house price and balance data to help clients save money.
“What especially drew me to Dashly is the way it makes the mortgage industry work better for all participants in it, customers, brokers and lenders alike,” says Harris.
“Ross and the team have an inclusive, progressive and highly disruptive vision that I look forward to helping realise.”

Ross Boyd, founder of Dashly, adds: ““Mike is one of the most respected names in financial services and his understanding of the way the mortgage industry is being changed by technology is second to none.
“He immediately got what Dashly is all about and to have him onboard as chairman is a massive boost to everyone involved.”
