Yes Bank has unveiled India’s largest banking API developer platform to help evolve open banking technologies, writes Jane Connolly.
The Yes Fintech Developer sandbox has over 50 virtual APIs, offering corporates, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups the chance to test their apps in a secure environment, reports The Banking and Finance Post.

Access will be provided to APIs across four usage categories: account management, payments, cards and customer relationship management (CRM).
“Yes Fintech Developer sandbox will create a perfect collaboration opportunity with start-ups to test emerging solutions such as alternative data-driven banking models, gamified solutions to nudge user behaviour and more,” says Ritesh Pai, chief digital officer at Yes Bank.
He adds: “Along with this, the platform would showcase our API suite functionalities, responses with corporate and MSME clients and help them to understand the full attributes of our API stack, while enabling faster integration with the banks’ APIs.”
The sandbox will enable clients to check multiple banking use cases, work on customisation and assess possible API integrations.
