BigID raises $50m in Series C funding round
New York-based privacy platform start-up BigID has announced its $50 million Series C funding, led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
Also behind the investment were ClearSky, Boldstart Ventures, SAP.io Fund, Scale Venture Partners and Comcast Ventures, as well as newcomer Salesforce Ventures.
The company, which helps businesses comply with global privacy regulation, has now raised more than $96 million.
Bessemer Venture Partners’ Alex Ferrara will join BigID’s board of directors.
“In the last few years, privacy has emerged as a rapidly expanding technology category like security did two decades ago,” says Ferrara.
He adds: “BigID’s sales momentum, rapid revenue and customer growth, amazing team and technology drove our investment and will solidify the company as the undisputed leader in the space.”
After 18 months of development, BigID has also launched an updated version of its BigID Enterprise, having built on its AI-driven data.
The product can now offer “single views” of customers or employees, correlation data, regulated big data processing, access via Kubernetes, third-party integrations and dedicated data apps.
