Adhara expands into Singapore and appoints Stanley Yong
London-based blockchain start-up Adhara has announced that it will be growing its team and opening a Singapore office this month.
The liquidity management and international payments provider is appointing Stanley Yong as its Singapore office head, who will also be responsible for Adhara’s financial-targeted GroupNet product.
With nearly ten years’ regulatory experience at the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a head of innovation and acceleration, Yong brings his experience from initiatives such as Project Ubin, where the central bank investigated digital currency on distributed ledger technologies.
“We have known Stan for a number of years,” says Adhara’s co-founder and fellow Project Ubin participant Peter Munnings. “He has a deep knowledge across central bank policy, processes and systems as well as various blockchain technologies. It is fantastic that he is joining us at Adhara.”
More recently IBM’s CTO, Yong’s move to Adhara will serve as a testament to how the start-up is growing and pave the way to “a strong team with real depth, expertise and experience in scaling solutions for liquidity management and payments”, says Adhara’s CEO and co-founder Julio Faura.
In Yong’s eyes, this role will give him the opportunity to deliver a strong business value to Adhara’s customers, based on a solid technology he believes in and has worked with time and time again.
