Accenture acquires financial risk advisor Parker Fitzgerald
Accenture has acquired Parker Fitzgerald, a strategic advisor for financial institutions, to expand its finance and risk practice.
The 2008-founded advisor consults on financial and non-financial risk, regulation and financial technology, complementing Accenture’s own technology capabilities and responding to the evolving risk landscape in financial services.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Accenture have expressed hopes the acquisition will “contend with the impact of economic and geopolitical uncertainties” as well as regulatory changes.
“Parker Fitzgerald’s skills, approach to financial risk management and long-standing regulatory relationships are at the heart of the risk management agenda,” says Accenture’s UK financial and risk practice lead, Peter Beardshaw. “They will enable us to provide clients with an even greater level of risk and assurance services and solutions.”
The acquired global advisor is excited at the prospect of expansion through Accenture’s huge global presence. Founder and CEO, Scott Vincent says: “Accenture’s tremendous scale and scope, coupled with their data- and technology-focused expertise in finance and risk, will enable us to expand our geographic reach and provide high-quality services to an even-broader client base.”
