Cobalt Credit Union adopts video banking with POPi/o
Cobalt Credit Union has become the latest US financial institution to embrace interactive video banking, by adopting POPio Mobile Video Cloud (POPi/o), reports Jane Connolly.
The credit union, which has 25 branches in Iowa and Nebraska, will first use the service for its web and mobile channels, offering customers a personalised virtual branch experience via any personal device.
With mobile video chat and real-time digital collaboration, POPi/o enables face-to-face support and the completion of complex banking tasks.
“By offering a more convenient way of banking, we can serve members in a way that enables a personalised, one-on-one service that people need when it comes to their finances, exactly when and where they need it,” says Gail DeBoer, president and CEO of Cobalt Credit Union.
“Cobalt is thrilled by the vast opportunities POPi/o offers in making everyday banking easier and more personal – the way it should be.”
Cobalt Credit Union has more than $1 billion in assets and is in the top 8% of credit unions nationally. The organisation’s adoption of POPi/o follows in the footsteps of Arkansas’s River Valley Community Federal Credit Union and Royal Banks of Missouri earlier this year.
