Rabobank IDB works with Sopra for PSD2
Rabobank International Direct Bank (IDB) has turned to its existing core system provider, Sopra Banking Software, for PSD2 open banking compliance, reports Martin Whybrow.
The bank has taken a Sopra solution called the Digital Experience Platform (DxP). This will provide the APIs for third-party service providers (TTPs), with a range of facilities to support these.
The bank is a long-standing user of the Sopra Banking Platform (Callataÿ & Wouters’ Thaler, as was). It is a savings bank subsidiary of Rabobank with payment capabilities in Belgium and Germany.
Sopra describes DxP as an end-to-end solution to provide new services leveraging a user’s own offers and those of partners, with the ability to easily operate, maintain and change them. The offering includes a “sandbox” capability that allows fintechs to experiment with access point APIs and test data. It also comes with tools to manage TPPs and public sector undertakings (PSUs). It has monitoring and analytics to leverage the new data flows generated by the PSD2 ecosystem.
As a first step, Rabobank IDB went live with the sandbox capability in Belgium in February. The full roll-out for the two countries is underway, ahead of the PSD2 deadline of September.
