Watermark Bank makes a splash in Oklahoma
Watermark Bank is a new bank in the US, based in Oklahoma, that claims to be built on modern technology and around personalisation. “Built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs,” it says on its website.
It’s Oklahoma’s first new bank in a decade.
Watermark Bank aims to “build the best business bank” in Oklahoma by delivering highly personalised financial services to business owners, families and entrepreneurs.
It claims to have raised the largest capital for a newly chartered bank in Oklahoma’s history.
The bank opened for business in January this year, offering current and business accounts.
The bank’s CEO is Matt Pollock, who has senior experience at US banks, as well as having founded WMF Ventures.
Gary McClanahan is the bank’s CFO, and also has senior experience in banks like First National Bank of Oklahoma and Bank SNB.
Pollock and McClanahan are also Watermark Bank’s co-founders.
The board has members from Private Investments, Streets, and Square Deal Capital, which most likely have previously made an investment in the bank.
