NBT Bank picks Fiserv to deliver tailored digital banking services
NBT Bank aims to deliver tailored digital banking services to customers and retain skilled employees with Fiserv’s single-platform Architect, reports Jane Connolly.
The bank wants to provide a consistent digital banking experience for customers, both on mobile devices and in-person at its branches.
James Terry, senior vice president and director of systems development at NBT Bank, says: “The goal is to give customers the freedom to bank how they want and create a deeper connection with them as a result.”
Architect comes with a software development kit that financial institutions can use to tailor their offering to customers’ needs. NBT Bank also hopes there will be benefits for employee attraction and retention, as staff will be able to act on customer feedback and increase in-house development work.
Michael Longo, assistant vice president and systems development manager at NBT Bank, says: “Moving to Architect is a catalyst in our transition from a project management focus to a development focus, because it will empower our team to deliver the best-in-class user experience and functionality our customers have come to expect.”
Architect will also contribute to greater operational efficiency through increased automation of the bank’s processes.
