Monzo prepares digital receipts with Flux
Monzo, the UK digital challenger bank, is partnering with digital receipt company Flux to allow its users to look at and store their receipts in the bank’s app.
The launch date is tomorrow, 30 January, and is accompanied by a party at Monzo’s HQ.
Interestingly, Monzo’s main rival, Starling Bank, has been providing this service for around a year and a half. Starling didn’t feel the need to throw any strange party, but each to their own.
However, Monzo, who started working with Flux around the same time, has kept the partnership under wraps as it figured out how to approach this whole “marketplace” strategy.
Another bank offering Flux receipts is Barclays.
Not every receipt is created equal – Flux has a very limited number of trusted partners, and it only works with four shops.
The fintech also offers rewards and loyalty programmes.
Flux recently raised $7.5 million Series A funding as it plans to expand its platform.
