Societe Generale seeks start-ups for Global Markets Incubator
Societe Generale is launching its Global Markets Incubator, dedicated to fintechs specialising in market activities.
Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) is aiming to support these niche fintechs through its market expertise, as well as the backing of Le Swave incubator based in La Défense, Paris, where it will be based.
“Offering cutting-edge and innovative solutions to address our client needs is in Societe Generale’s DNA. With this dedicated incubator, we wish to enable fintechs specialised in financial markets to turn their ideas into innovative services,” explains Albert Loo, sponsor of Global Markets Incubator.
Candidates can apply until 16 November here. The selection process will take place during December 2018, and the six-month incubation period will begin in January 2019.
Antoine Connault has been appointed as head of Global Markets Incubator, where he will oversee the whole project including the identification and pre-selection, the incubation phase of the fintechs, and their development and investor relationships.
The launch of Global Markets Incubator is part of Societe Generale’s “Transform to Grow” plan.
Recently, Societe Generale acquired core banking, ID verification and card supplier Treezor, subject to approval by the French regulator ACPR.
