Life’s Alight for Wipro with $1.5bn deal
Indian IT and consultancy firm Wipro has got a ten-year engagement to provide a suite of solutions and services to Illinois-based Alight Solutions.
With this deal, Wipro says it will result in revenues of $1.5 to $1.6 billion over the tenure. This is Wipro’s “largest win to date”.
Wipro will help with Alight’s digital revamp across health, wealth, HR and finance solutions. The latter will be using Wipro’s digital technologies, cognitive automation and data analytics.
“[This] will enhance our client experience by drawing on Wipro’s leading position in automation and innovation, while allowing Alight to invest in its health, wealth and cloud-based solutions to meet the needs of our clients,” says Chris Michalak, CEO, Alight Solutions.
This development follows on from July, when Wipro acquired the Indian operations of Alight for $117 million as part of this long-term partnership.
