Regtech ComplySci on a high with Vista Equity investment
New York-based regtech firm ComplySci has received investment from Vista Equity Partners’ Endeavor Fund.
Existing investor Edison Partners has also invested and will retain a minority ownership stake in ComplySci. Financial details were not disclosed.
There are no specifics as to what the money will be used for. You’ll just have to picture happy faces in suits.
ComplySci works with more than 1,000 firms and, among other activities, monitors trades, certifications and pre-clearance requests annually.
Its platform is used for risk management and compliance. For example, it offers a proprietary risk data engine which aggregates data across a spectrum of sources. This creates a single repository of information.
Jean-Marc Levy, CEO at ComplySci, says in the last two years it has grown its user base by over 60%, and completed the acquisition of Financial Tracking.
Since Edison’s initial investment in 2014, ComplySci adds that its revenue has grown over 400%.
