Banca IFIS launches digital insurance platform Rendimax
Milan-based insurtech Rendimax launches into the market as a digital insurance marketplace with “autonomy, without agents or intermediaries”.
The platform, a product of the collaboration between Banca IFIS and Yolo, has “one strategic partner, three insurance firms, six life moments and nine different products”, with aims to increase the number of types of insurance and partner insurers by the end of this year.
The new firm aims to close 2019 with twice the number of products it has now.
The firm says its platform “uses algorithms, big data and machine learning, while having an integrated and multi-channel customer care”.
The site launches with a chatbot service, customer phone lines, and Facebook and Twitter helplines available.
“The direct contact with the customer, completely freed of intermediaries due to our technological additions, are at the core of the vision and DNA of Banca IFIS”, says Giovanni Bossi, CEO at Banca IFIS. “We believe the only way to sell services is to interact directly with the customer, building a two-way and transparent dialogue that generates value for both parties.”
At the moment, the platform offers pet, bicycle, and home insurance through its partnership with Europ Assistance Italia; city and sport insurance with Chubb; and travel insurance with AXA Partners.
Banca IFIS has overseen the range of products, while Yolo is acting as the technology partner.
In the world of insurtech, other companies receiving funding recently are Digital Risks and Next Insurance.
