Autosoft and Finja power Allied Bank’s branchless banking
Allied Bank has partnered with Autosoft Dynamics and payments platform Finja to implement a complete branchless banking solution in Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan-based trio, the digital solution will provide access to banking services, including instant opening of accounts anywhere, anytime with no requirement to visit a bank branch.
Tahir Hassan Qureshi, CEO Allied Bank, says: “The bank has always strategically supported financial inclusion of the unbanked population.”
Allied Bank is one of the largest commercial banks in the country, with a network of over 1,250 branches and 1,350 ATMs.
Regional joy
Autosoft has gained plenty of other clients in the region.
In May, Finca Microfinance Bank, a Pakistan-based subsidiary of international microfinance organisation Finca, signed for Autosoft’s new core banking system, Autobanker.
In April, also in Pakistan, U Microfinance Bank implemented a new treasury management system, Adams, from Autosoft.
Last year, National Bank of Pakistan picked Autobanker for its operations in Afghanistan. This was the first known core banking software deal for Autosoft in Afghanistan.
