Intelligent Environments rebrands as ieDigital
UK-based digital banking tech provider Intelligent Environments (IE) is set to become ieDigital, following “a comprehensive brand review”, the company says.
IE was founded in 1985 with initial focus on home automation. In 2010, it merged with another UK firm Documetric as a result of a reverse takeover. The combined business was briefly known as Parseq, but became IE again following the 2011 takeover by Nova Capital Management.
The company also has a new CEO, Jeremy Young, former VP of EMEA at Fiserv and head of retail banking and insurance at Oracle. He initiated the rebrand in January shortly after his appointment.
Young says it is important for the company with “global ambitions” to have a brand and expertise that “travel”.
“We feel the new brand brings our visual identity right up to date, is more versatile and altogether more digital,” he explains. “The name is also much better aligned with our core business, and easier for customers and colleagues across all territories to pronounce, which is incredibly important.”
The new name holds on to “ie” which references the heritage, and adds “Digital” to be more specific about the types of solutions it provides.
The company’s flagship product is Interact, a digital customer experience platform. It has users in 28 countries, Atom Bank, HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group among them.
ieDigital’s HQ is in London and it has offices in Frankfurt, Dubai, Auckland and now also Brisbane.
