CBA contrite over banking not going right
Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has sorted out its online banking systems issues that affected customers yesterday (4 April).
We tweeted about the problem at that time, and today (5 April) the bank has issued a statement on its site:
“We’re sorry that some customers experienced intermittent issues with our systems yesterday. Our teams have worked non-stop to fix the problem and NetBank, CommBank app and CommBiz services are restored.
“We can also confirm credit card payments and transfers have been processed and customers will start to see these reflected in their accounts.
“We assess any fees charged during an outage on a case by case basis and determine how to help customers who have been disadvantaged.”
As is often the case with these banking problems, it doesn’t explain what the root cause was.
