SIA wins ABN Amro’s paytech tender
ABN Amro has turned to Italian paytech vendor SIA for instant payments access.
SIA won the tender to connect ABN Amro to EBA Clearing’s pan-European instant payments infrastructure RT1.
The vendor says that thanks to SIAnet, its fibre optic network with high speed and low latency stretching over 170,000 kilometres, ABN Amro has become one of the early users to introduce instant payments,
Clients of ABN Amro can execute instant payments up to €15,000 in less than ten seconds, 24×7, all year long, to other banks that participate in the instant payments scheme.
Sandra Peute, business developer for SEPA payments at ABN Amro, says the bank is “very pleased with the service quality and operational excellence of SIA”.
