Beacon Community Bank opts for Jack Henry’s Silverlake core banking system
Beacon Community Bank, a start-up bank in the US state of South Carolina, has implemented the Silverlake core banking system from domestic banking tech heavyweight Jack Henry & Associates.
The solution is supplied on a hosted basis via JHA OutLink Processing Services (JHA OPS) and its entire IT infrastructure is supported by Gladiator Hosted Network Solutions, a cloud computing environment for outsourcing all IT management and maintenance.
Jack Henry adds that the bank is using its solutions for digital initiatives as well.
Craig Johnson, COO of Beacon Community Bank, says Jack Henry offered “the most complete suite of offerings that met the bank’s requirements for form and functionality”. He adds that the vendor’s reputation, including for products, integration, service and customer support, “demonstrates the blend of culture and technology that we were seeking in a partner”.
The vendor says four other “de novo” (i.e. start-up) banks in the US opted for its core processing software in 2017.
“US bank openings for 2017 more than doubled the number of new banks opening between 2011 and 2016 combined,” Jack Henry notes.
