Commercial Bank of Ceylon in digital banking tech revamp with Fiserv
Commercial Bank of Ceylon (Combank), a long-standing user of Fiserv’s Signature core banking system, is now extending the vendor’s tech to the front office.
The bank is replacing its legacy digital banking platform with Fiserv’s DigitalAccess. The vendor says this will make Combank “the first bank in its market to offer fully integrated digital banking capabilities”.
The solution supports local languages, Sinhala and Tamil for Sri Lanka, Bengali for Bangladesh, and Divehi for the Maldives.
DigitalAccess will integrate with the Signature core platform and enable “digital onboarding to allow customers to open bank accounts and apply for credit cards, loans, and other banking products without having to visit a bank branch”, Fiserv says.
Additional features include personal financial management (PFM) tools, online mobile phone top-up capabilities, biometric authentication, actionable push notifications, and ATM and branch location searches.
S Renganathan, COO of Combank, describes Fiserv as “a reliable partner”.
Combank has a network of 256 branches and 700 ATMs in Sri Lanka, 19 offices in Bangladesh and a representative office in Myanmar. It also has a subsidiary in the Maldives and a money transfer service in Italy.
