Nainital Bank to launch new digital venture, searches for consulting and tech partner
India-based Nainital Bank is gearing up to launch a new digital venture.
The bank has recently gone to market to find a consulting and implementation partner to help it design, build and launch this venture as well as service it post-launch.
Nainital Bank says it “wants to leverage the power of digital to develop new best-in-class digital offerings”.
“Given the increasing importance of digital, the bank wishes to develop digital offerings and go to market at speed,” it continues.
“Digital venture consists of online sales and service in a straight-through manner and/or digital paperless branches.”
The selected technology and consulting partner will follow a “collaborative stage gated approach for the development of the offerings”, Nainital Bank says, “at each stage the deliverables for subsequent phases will be mutually decided based on the bank’s evolving strategy”.
Nainital Bank was set up in 1922 and is a subsidiary of Bank of Baroda. It has 130 branches in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan.
