BGFI Bank in group-wide upgrade of core banking software
BGFI Bank, a financial services group in Central Africa, is upgrading its core banking software group-wide. The bank is rolling out a new version of Sopra Banking Software’s Amplitude system, Amplitude Up.
BGFI is a long-standing user of Amplitude (formerly known as Delta-Bank and supplied by French tech vendor Delta Informatique).
The first country to get Amplitude Up is Gabon – the solution is now up and running. This marks the start of the enterprise-wide upgrade programme.
“Having a single solution for all of our subsidiaries is the next step in this strategic programme,” says Henri Claude Oyima, chairman and CEO of BGFI. It will help the banking group to “optimise its performance and satisfy its customers”, he adds.
BGFI’s presence spans ten African countries: Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe, and Senegal. It also has a subsidiary in France.
It employs over 2,000 people.
BGFI focuses on commercial and investment banking, and insurance.
