Glenmede Trust Company implements Charles River IMS platform
Glenmede Trust Company, a US-based investment and wealth management firm with $34 billion of assets under management, is consolidating its institutional and wealth operations on Charles River’s Investment Management Solution (IMS).
Glenmede was looking for “a multi-asset system capable of handling high volumes while ensuring compliance and managing risks”, Charles River says.
IMS, delivered on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) basis, will provide Glenmede “with a single system for risk and scenario analysis, portfolio analytics and construction, order and execution management, post-trade processing, compliance, performance measurement, IBOR, and transaction cost analysis”.
The vendor adds that real-time pricing, reference and benchmark data will be provided and managed via its integrated data services.
The new consolidated enterprise investment management platform will support Glenmede’s portfolio managers, traders, compliance and operations staff.
Lou Pellicori, CTO and and MD of Glenmede, anticipates the benefits in the form of risk reduction, the streamlining of processes, and the personalisation of products and services for clients.
Tom Driscoll, global MD at Charles River, comments that “for many firms like Glenmede, adopting an enterprise platform not only lowers costs but enables standardisation, product cross-selling and collaboration between business units”.
Glenmede is also on the customer list of another well-known tech player in this field, SS&C Advent (formerly Advent Software), being a long-standing user of its Axys portfolio management system.
