Joy for Bankjoy as three credit unions sign contracts
Fintech start-up Bankjoy has signed three credit unions for its digital banking software: CommunityWide Federal Credit Union in Indiana; Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union in Idaho, and One Detroit Credit Union in Illinois.
CommunityWide FCU will implement Bankjoy’s software for online and mobile banking, e-statements, bill payment and budgeting tools.
The new software will interface to the credit union’s Keystone core processing system, supplied by another domestic vendor, Corelation (the core revamp project has recently begun and is scheduled for completion in early 2018).
Advantage Plus FCU will also use Bankjoy’s online and mobile banking products, and is also evaluating Bankjoy Voice, a new tool featuring Amazon Echo’s Alexa.
The credit union’s CIO, Adam Brown, says Bankjoy’s open API framework will help Advantage Plus with any future tech integration and will also provide “a fresh look” to online channels. He also cites “competitive pricing” and “strong product offerings” for his choice of provider.
For One Detroit CU, new digital tools will automate processes and eliminate some back office tasks, according to CIO John DiGaetano.
Bankjoy was founded in 2015 by two former credit union IT employees, Michael Duncan (CEO) and Dan Domek (CTO). The company is based in Detroit and focuses on the credit union market.
