MAIB in major core banking system upgrade
Moldova Agroindbank (MAIB), a universal bank in Moldova, has completed a major upgrade of its core software.
The bank, a long-standing customer of Temenos, has moved from T24 R08 to R15.
The project was carried out by a regional partner of Temenos, Belarus-based Foranx.
MAIB is the country’s largest commercial bank and lender, with nearly a third of the market share of loans and deposits. It has 70 branches nationwide.
MAIB is one of three T24 users in Moldova, Banking Technology understands. The other two are Victoriabank (it decided to replace Misys’ Equation with T24 in 2012) and Moldindconbank (also opted for T24 in 2012, to replace the legacy Vabank system from Russia-based Flexsoft).
Elsewhere, Samba Bank in Pakistan has recently gone live on Temenos’ T24 R15.
