Amsterdam Trade Bank streamlines trade finance ops with CargoDocs
Amsterdam Trade Bank (ATB) has signed for CargoDocs DocPrep+ from specialist trade finance solutions provider essDOCS.
The vendor says its product will help ATB “streamline the creation, control and transfer of transport-related title documents – including electronic bills of lading – in a secure, web-based environment”.
essDOCS explains: “ATB will be using to collaboratively create, review and approve paper and electronic documents, while utilising the CargoDocs Document Exchange (DocEx) to electronically sign and legally transfer title documents, in turn facilitating enhanced financing services for its customers.”
To begin with, CargoDocs will be used for ATB’s Black Sea Soft Commodity financing.
ATB becomes the fourth bank in the Netherlands to sign on to CargoDocs and the 36th bank worldwide to do so. Other banks include CoBank in the US, ABN Amro, ING, Unicredit, ICBC, Bank of China, Wells Fargo, CIMB, Standard Chartered, Credit Suisse and Westpac.
According to essDOCS, over 4,500 companies globally use its flagship solution.
