Brooks Macdonald puts IT revamp with Third Financial on hold
UK-based wealth and investment management firm Brooks Macdonald is believed to have scrapped its plans to implement a new wealth management system.
The project was underway for some time, with domestic software developer Third Financial to deliver its Tercero platform, front-to-back office, to Brooks Macdonald.
However, Banking Technology understands that the project is no more. No comment was provided by either party.
It is understood that Brooks Macdonald was planning to move from its legacy Figaro system, supplied by another UK-based software provider, JHC Systems. It went through a substantial RFP process, with ERI, Babel Systems and Third Financial believed to be evaluated.
Brooks Macdonal continues to run the Figaro system, as it currently has a three-year contract with the vendor, Banking Technology understands. The solution is hosted by Blue Chip.
