Profile Software’s IMSplus gains first client in Central America
Costa Rica-based BAC San Jose Puesto de Bolsa has chosen Profile Software’s IMSplus platform to manage its investment and client portfolio operations. This is Profile Software’s first client in the Central American region.
Following an international vendor evaluation, BAC will use IMSplus for MIS (management information system) and customisable reporting capabilities; and monitoring of portfolio and transactions.
Alberto Quirós, CEO of BAC San Jose Puesto de Bolsa, says it is looking forward to a “smooth implementation of this international class highly-flexible product”.
BAC is the largest private financial institution in Costa Rica and part of the BAC Credomatic Group. The BAC Credomatic Group has been active for more than 50 years and has a presence in six countries in Central America (Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador and Costa Rica), providing private and commercial banking as well as credit card services. Through a number of partnerships and acquisitions, the bank now employs more than 20,000 people.
Greece and beyond
IMSplus is a well-established solution in the investment management space with around 30 users. The majority of them are based in Greece (the home market of Profile) and neighbouring Cyprus (including a recent taker, T.C.R. International).
A handful are further afield – in the Middle East and the UK. In the UK, its new client is Rasmala, formerly European Islamic Investment Bank (EIIB).
Another recent win was with Albilad Capital, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia’s Bank Albilad.
