Diasoft scores second win in Vietnam with TPBank
Russia-based banking tech vendor Diasoft has landed its second deal in Vietnam, with TienPhongBank (TPBank). TPBank will implement Diasoft’s loan origination and debt collection solutions, part of a broader Flextera software suite.
Diasoft’s first contract in Vietnam (and the vendor’s first in South East Asia) – signed in 2013 – is with Vietnam International Bank (VIB), which also took a range of Flextera modules, including for payments and loan origination.
Banking Technology understands that at TPBank Diasoft’s software will integrate with Oracle FSS’s Flexcube core banking system and Nucleus Software’s FinnOne lending system.
TPBank also runs the SmartVista payments suite from another tech supplier that originates from Russia, BPC Banking Technologies.
Pham Dong Anh, deputy CEO of TPBank, hopes the Flextera project will help the bank “minimise manual and paper work that the credit department of the bank has to do on a daily basis”, improve the loan process efficiency, accelerate loan disbursement, improve customer experience and increase business performance of the bank’s lending unit.
A local consultancy firm and system integrator, Fintek, will work on the project delivery.
TPBank is a mid-sized domestic player with 1.3 million customers and total assets of VND 83,200 billion ($3.7 billion). It is commercially owned.
