Bank Leumi UK selects Infosys Finacle for online banking
Bank Leumi (UK), based in London and part of the Bank Leumi Group, is replacing its existing corporate online banking system with Infosys’ Finacle e-banking solution. It will be interfaced to the bank’s long-standing core banking system, Misys’ Midas.
The bank wants a system to “offer new products, provide additional functionality, and future-proof capabilities as well as encourage greater customer adoption of online services”. The new platform will be available across all main digital channels, such as desktops, smartphones and tablets.
Lesley Secretan, director and COO of Bank Leumi (UK), says the Finacle platform will provide it with a solution for its “changing corporate banking requirements”.
She adds: “Finacle has demonstrated extensive experience in the market, having worked on complex projects with leading banks globally. Perhaps more importantly, we chose Finacle because we liked its look and feel and felt it will be appreciated by our customers once the solution is deployed.”
Bank Leumi (UK) is one of the oldest foreign subsidiaries in the UK beginning its operations over 110 years ago. It offers corporate finance as well as private banking.
Meanwhile, the bank’s parent is going through a technology revamp in its home market in Israel. The bank is launching a new digital-only bank and has contracted Temenos to provide it with the software, front-to-back office. Temenos’ T24 core banking system will underpin the back office operations of the new entity, whilst Temenos Connect will support the front-end.
