Company on the Move: The Money Services Business Association Launches
Money services companies have launched The Money Services Business Association (MSBA), and have appointed Alberto Laureano, CEO at Barri Financial Group LLC, as chairman. The MSBA was started to establish an industry-led organization that supports the nonbank financial services industry and encourages continued innovation and development in the payments industry, while assisting in the education and communication with federal and state regulators. The association has 24 founding members and they elected the following first-year board members:

The MSBA also named Kathy Tomasofsky as acting director. She has more than 20 years of financial services and association management skills, and most recently served as the senior director of operations at the NBPCA.
