People on the Move: Himanshu Patel, First Data
Payments processor First Data has appointed Himanshu Patel chief financial officer. Patel has served as First Data’s executive vice president of strategy, planning and business development since June 2013. He has overseen the execution of a number of strategic acquisitions and initiatives, and he has been actively engaged in setting First Data’s financial strategy. Prior to joining First Data, he was at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for 16 years, most recently as a managing director, leading strategy for the Chase mortgage banking division. He also served as a senior equity analyst for JPMorgan.
