People on the Move: Gabriella Poczo, WorldRemit
Online money transfer service WorldRemit has announced the hiring of Gabriella Poczo as chief technology officer. She is one of Silicon Valley’s most respected engineering leads, having overseen Skype’s move from desktop to mobile, according an announcement. Poczo also served as chief technology officer at messaging service textPlus, as senior director of handset software development at T-Mobile USA, and as engineering director and chief technology officer for Sun Microsystems’ original equipment manufacturer platforms group.
