People on the Move: U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry, House Financial Services Committee
U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) has been named by House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) to serve as the vice chairman of the full committee for the newly seated 114th Congress. During the 113th Congress, McHenry led the committee’s efforts to investigate racial and gender discrimination at the CFPB while serving as the chairman of the committee’s Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee. Currently the chief deputy whip, McHenry has served on the Financial Services Committee since his first term in office, beginning in 2005. In addition to serving as vice chairman of the full committee, McHenry will be a member of the Capital Markets & Government Sponsored Enterprises Subcommittee, as well as the Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee.
