People on the Move: Tony Alexis, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
The CFPB has appointed Tony Alexis head of enforcement. He has been serving as deputy assistant director for enforcement field litigation at the CFPB since 2012. Alexis worked for 13 years as an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., and was also a partner at Mayer Brown for nearly four years. Alexis succeeds Kent Markus, the bureau’s enforcement chief since January 2012.
