People on the Move: Edward Boyle, Daniel Delshad, Duane Jacobsen and Steve Williams, Blade Financial
Blade Financial has launched what it says is the first B2B payment processing platform extending traditional debit card programs to bitcoin businesses, enabling digital currency companies to offer their customers a familiar way to spend bitcoin at millions of merchants globally.
CEO and co-founder Ed Boyle has more than 15 years of experience in the payments business. Previously he was vice president and general manager of the prepaid card business at American Express, where he was responsible for product development and management, sales and client integrations.
Daniel Delshad, chief strategy officer and co-founder, is an entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in starting and building disruptive businesses, according to the company. He has spent the last three years building a mobile wallet platform for loyalty points programs.
Duane Jacobsen, senior vice president, product and card operations, has more than 20 years of experience developing award-winning fintech platforms, products and services. He has worked for many of the top payment and financial services companies, including American Express, TSYS, Trefoil Technology, Prepaid Resources and Clarity Payments.
Steve Williams, head of technology, has nearly 20 years of experience in banking and payments cards, and he has developed award-winning payments applications, such as Trefoil’s Direct Deposit Manager app. Williams also worked at TSYS and Morgan Stanley.
