McObject hires Hillier-Brook as European rep
US data management company McObject has appointed Ian Hillier-Brook as its representative in the UK and Europe.
McObject has an established presence in the defence, avionics and telecoms industries and has developed eXtremeDB Financial Edition specifically for financial institutions with an appetite for ultra-high-performance, low-latency data processing. The product is used for real-time analysis of market data in trading, risk and regulatory areas.
Hillier-Brook has founded and run a number of companies in the financial markets and time series/market data technology world over the years, including Market Data Systems, Market Information Systems and Data Stream Analysis. These all had similar underlying technologies – FAME, Informix/Illustra’s Object Relational database and Streambase – to eXtremeDB.
